The food is wonderful and the prices fit what each sandwich was. Atmosphere was hip and enjoyable. The wait was a little long. If you are sitting by the restroom door area wear a jacket because it is cold around that area.

I am writing this to let you know that I think MELT is the greatest thing since sliced bread!(HA..HA..) My husband and I have eaten there twice in the last 4 days and are not disappointed! It is really worth the drive to Lakewood.

Keep those FABULOUS sandwiches coming!

My wife and I are regular visitors to your bar for two basic reasons. First, your food is wonderful - not just the portions - but the variety and quality. We eat at many places around Cleveland but "Melt" is our favorite place to relax after work or on a weekend afternoon. Second, your wait staff is the best we've experienced from a wide variety of restaurants. Each time we enter, the staff is prompt with greeting us and making sure we have a table or have our names on the list. When we do arrive, the service is simply just right: fast, frequent, polite, interactive, helpful, and considerate of any individual needs. Our most recent staff member was Erica - one of our frequent servers - and she just understands what we want and knows how to work with us. We have had other Melt Staff apologize for orders that were late or incorrect even before we noticed as well as work with us to make unique changes to the order. I wish we could go to other venues and get the same level of service but that does not happen enough to us. Typically, we have indifferent servers who make the experience ordinary or boring. The Melt staff is what keeps us returning often to your great restaurant as well as tell friends. Please keep up this level of service and we'll eat there each week.

I grew up in Cleveland, and now only get back there about once a year. I live in San Diego now, the craft brewing capital of America, and it always warms my heart to come back to your place and see craft brews available that I can't get out in Cali, and have that freakin' Muncipal Stadium Magic. I make a pretty mean Brat, but that thing is outta this world. Keep it up!

I have been coming to Melt for the last year and can confidently say that it is my favorite bar/eatery. The food is amazing and the selection is daunting. When it comes to the beer, not enough can be said about the wide range and variety of choices. I am now a proud Melt "Big Cheese Club" member and am quickly on my way to my free $20. Thank you guys for all your wonderful service and hospitality. See you tonight!!

Perogies on grilled cheese -- what a great idea!!! The food is awesome. The beer selection is awesome. Although I've had the same inattentive and unapolagetic waitress a couple times. I thought she was kind of rude.. I still can't resist going back, though!

By far, one of my favorite places to eat in this town! I live on the East Side and my girlfriends and I drive over at least once a month to Melt!

I have never had a bad meal there and the service is great!

We had heard good things from friends and read a few reviews so we were excited about checking it out. So we found the place (someone told me it was in the 117th & Clifton area)about 8pm on a Saturday night, there weren't any tables available but plenty of seats at the bar. The tin ceiling, brick work, and very cool star lamps(?)give off a an retro/cozy feel. I didn't catch the name of the bartender, though one of her co-workers reffered to her as skankzilla, was great. She asked if we had been there before and then guided us through the awesome menu, she talked me out of having a salad and into one of the incredible sandwiches. (nothing against the salads, I saw a few served and they looked wicked good) I had the Westside Monte Cristo, very tasty, with fantastic french cut fries, and the best cole slaw EVAH. I couldn't finish my sandwich but took it home and it made a great breakfast meal. My wife had the Big Pig Burger, krazy hugenormous, perfectly grilled. Loved the huge offering of international beers and patient bartenders willing to make crazy/stupid drink mixes. It gave me at least a small college town bar & grill vibe. I'll definetley be back and have already started spreading the good word.

WOW! Melt is a wonderful place to eat, drink, and people-watch. It is a very unique bar/restaurant that deserves all the great reviews it has received! You really get what you pay for! Sandwich's were reasonably priced and came with a huge portion of fresh cut fries. This restaurant attracts people from all walks of life, from teens in funky t-shirts to businessmen in suits. All in all, its a great place to check out!

We went to Melt this Friday 3/29 for the first time. I had the North Coast Shores and he had the Lake Erie Monster. Both were superb!! God Bless Matt for bringing this to Lakewood, what a treat.

It would be a crime not to treat yourself to this deliciously wonderful experience! If you haven't tried it, you don't know what you're missing. If you have tried it and didn't like it, you should have your head examined.

Finally got a chance to try MELT this past Saturday and it was EXCELLENT! Smaller than I thought it would be, but great atmosphere, reasonable prices and unbelievable food. Chorizo and Potato was out of this world and the Fried Twinkies for dessert are awesome. We will defintely be back, and bringing our friends.

ummm.. fried green tomato sandwich.. that is brilliant! fits right into all of the good stuff on the menu. hope this one is a keeper. i had it on st. pat's day and it soaked up all of the beer that i drank quite nicely.
love melt. love the crowd. love the music, but hate all of the sports stuff. come on, you can see that anywhere. change the channel on the t.v. and give that stuff to the bar down the street. you are melt! you are rad!

I had the greatest time at Melt Saturday night (02/17/07)... a bunch of my friends and I went out for a birthday. I wasn't quite sure what to expect from a bar called Melt (mind you the only hint I was getting about the food, was that it was comfort food.) But let me tell you, if I lived in the area, I would be there EVERY DAY!

Props to the food, and for having my favorite beer in the whole world, Purple Haze. It's been almost two years since I have had it (you couldn't get it north of Nashville for a long time)... so the killer combo of a Westside Monte Cristo, Purple Haze, and fresh cut heaven (aka, french fries) made my weekend in Lakewood spectacular.

Thanks for the great service, fantastic atmosphere, and stellar background music to accompany a bunch of silly girls celebrating a birthday.

Date: February 12, 2007 We were at The Melt after it was featured on Fox8 in the morning on Kenny Crumpton's segment. Drove in from the Sandusky area Friday night to check it out. The host told us 30-45 minutes wait, and it was actually about an hour, through no fault of his. The place was full and pretty small. There were plenty of people ahead of us, and quite a few campers. The food was well worth the wait! The 'kindergartener' tasted great, my kids chowed, and there was a huge amount of food. And, it was inexpensive. The service was good and the kitchen was efficient considering the crowd. We'll definitely be back for more! If you're looking for a quiet dinner, this is not the place to be, but the noise level wasn't to the point of obnoxious. It is a bar after all, but I thought it was an alright atmosphere for the family. It's an older crowd, and it was relatively early, 830ish. All in all, a great time! Thanks!

Date: January 2, 2007 I'm sitting here right now waiting for Melt to open so I can get a chorizo and potato! The best sandwiches in Cleveland, bottomline. Take it from a fat guy, I know what i'm talking about.

Date: December 27, 2006 I've been working in Lakewood and going to what was formerly The White Door Saloon for 30 years. Since the change to Melt I was hesitant to go in because I always liked The White Door Saloon just the way it was with its simple menu, friendly people and comfortable atmosphere. Today (12/27/06) I went to Melt for the 1st time and it was great. I had the Melt Burger and it was one of the best burgers that I've ever had. The fries were delicious and the bar decor was very comfortable. It's been transformed into a very fun place to meet, eat and drink. Nice Job!!!
